Gold Coast trainer Marcus Wilson pulled the right rein to send Meteorologist to Sydney for a race at Warwick Farm yesterday.

Meteorologist took out the benchmark 70 Pluck@Vinery Handicap over 2200m carrying a whopping 59.5kg.

A patient ten out of ten ride by Corey Brown seen the 18 hands high giant finish strongly in the concluding stages to win by a long head on line from Ready For Success (Blake Shinn) with Bon Equus (Tye Angland) a length and half away third.

“Because he’s such a big horse he struggles around Doomben, he needs big spacious tracks” Wilson said.

“He’s a good horse round Eagle Farm but it’s closed again, hence the reason we’ve come south.”

Meteorologist now takes his earnings well over $250,000 from 8 wins for his connections.
