Blossom Dearest showed her full potential at the Gold Coast Saturday winning the Cater Care maiden plate over 1400m.

She didn't handle the wet track last start, but back on top of the ground she showed punters what she is capable of.

Settling last in position during the race, Blossom Dearest unleashed a poweful finish down the outside to score by three quarters of a length.

Ridden very patient by Jackson Morris, Blossom Dearest was backed from $8 into $2.80 favourite.

Blossom Dearest is a 4yo mare by Stratum out of the Tale Of The Cat mare Beauty Kit.

With her second dam being by Zabeel and with the way she relaxes in her races, her trainer Marcus Wilson believes she will run further in distance and will be a better mare next preperation as she matures.
