My King Oath blew his arrivals away for an impressive win in the $17,000 Class 3 Plate over 1200m at the Gold Coast on Wednesday.

Given a ten out ten ride by Jackson Morris, the big strong gelding settled back last in a field of ten from an awkward barrier spotting the leaders a dozen lengths approaching the 600m.

Morris eased him out wide towards the top of the straight to unleash a barn storming finish over the top of the field to beat the favourite Karl The Great by a neck on the line.

My King Oath is by Exceed And Excel out of Group one winning mare St. Clemens Belle.

He was only having his fourth start since joining the Wilson team from Patinack Farms Queensland based stable, it was his first win on Wednesday since March 2011, over two years ago.
